About Us
Mens Group was established April 2nd, 2020. In the midst of the pandemic our fouders Nathan Flower and Bob Geiken noticed a need for fellowship. In a time when people were not allowed to gather they put together a group of men. Men to gather with. Men to Grow with. Men to worship with.
Nathan Flower
Born & raised in Northern California. Began my career right out of high school as an iron worker & truck driver. Began dating my wife in 1999 & married her in 2002. Became a follower of Christ & baptized in 2010. Started working as a Millwright in 2011. Adopted 4 children in 2017. They are now Kelsey (25), Sabrina (25), Zachary (13) & Sophia (12). My wife & I with our 4 kids relocated here to Hastings Minnesota in the summer of 2018 and began attending Crossroads Hastings Campus. Started hosting this Men’s Group in April of 2020 and it has been consistent every week since then. I have welcomed in a daughter-in-law (Kelsey’s wife) plus their adopted son. I’ve welcomed in a son-in-law (Sabrina’s husband) plus their 3 adopted kiddos. Now I am experiencing the joy of being a “Pops” to my first grandkid. I have been sober of alcohol since 2022 and am celebrating 15 yrs walking with Jesus as of 2025. I attended my first year of Man Camp in 2021 not knowing any other camper. My second year of Man Camp I recruited Bob & my nephew. By my 3rd year of Man Camp I went as a Trip Captain along with 6 men road tripping to Ohio. In 2024 I attended camp for a second time as a Trip Captain along with 8 men. This year will be epic at Man Camp.
Robert Geiken
Born and raised in Hastings, Mn. Started working during High School at a Sinclair gas station as a Gas Jockey filling up gas and washing the windows, checking the air in the tires and changing tires. I met my wife in High School in 1987 ( High School sweethearts) we got married in 1990. We have 3 kids ( Mikayla is 30, Tessa is 27 and Robby is 23 ) started going to Crossroads church in Hastings since it opened in December 3rd 2017. I have been lead usher, a greeter, and also I take care of the Baptism pool for set up and tear down. Still gives me chills every time watching people deciding to leave the old ways behind and to follow Jesus. I was Baptized at Crossroads Church in 2018. I have been in Nathan’s Men’s group since the beginning and enjoy every minute with other men studying the word. In 2022 Nathan invited me to go to Man Camp in Ohio and not knowing what I was getting into was kind of a challenge for me but by the end of the weekend I was hooked and signed up on the way home for next year’s camp! It’s a Must to Go and try, you will be transformed. I myself am still learning the Bible and have a great group of men to follow and learn from.
